Summer 2019 Newsletter
As many of you know, the primary services that ComfortCare Women’s Health offers are free pregnancy confirmations and ultrasound services. What you might not know is the journey that follows afterwards. We understand that confirming a woman’s pregnancy is just the start of her journey. If she chooses life over an abortion, many different obstacles exist for her; thus, she will need many resources and people to help her. ComfortCare sees equipping our patients as a necessary part of our service – we strive to equip our women (and men) with resources that strengthen each component of their whole self.
Because of that belief, we have developed and are now implementing our new parenting enrichment program, ComfortCare Connections! We feel it is our responsibility to encourage mom and dad to connect with resources that seek to strengthen their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual selves. We also believe this resource connection offers a great opportunity to unite them with their community. Thus, ComfortCare’s role includes providing material resources whenever mom and/or dad enroll and attend any of the partnership programs we have identified as a part of ComfortCare Connections. We are not just serving the woman. We are serving the family.
Please read through this newsletter to better understand our heart behind this program and how it works for the benefit of our clients. Our hope is that she is not just left on her own to figure out how to navigate this new life, but that she and her family would be strengthened by the community of support around her.
President & CEO
ComfortCare Connections was developed to equip families with resources that foster healthy life choices for their pre- & post-partum journey, including those that support them physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
ComfortCare Connections is open to all of our patients – moms and dads!
Patients have a wide variety of programs from which to choose. While the patient advocate will help navigate that conversation to find the best fit and resource, we want them to identify a program that truly fits their needs as they embark on this new parenting journey.
